Cebu is the oldest City in the Philippines. It is where the Christianity starts, thus, there are many Churches established. Even until now, the Archdiocese is continuing to build Churches especially in very far off places for the flock to have pastor. Here is one of the many Churches in Cebu:
Archdiocesan Shrine of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
A quick information, it was founded by Jesuits, who were expelled from Communists China, in 1952. This is formerly known as Our Lady of China Parish which was dedicated to Our Lady Queen of China. The parish flourished due to the support of the Chinese community in Cebu. On the Feast of Pentecost (May 25, 2012), Arch. Palma decreed it as Archdiocesan Shrine of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
This parish is the first I share in this blog since it is close to my workplace. Here, I say may morning prayer. Here are some photos of the parish.
Inside the Church:
Usually the front door is closed. You can go inside from the last side door near the altar. It is located at the right side and bigger than the other doors on the side of the building.

Below is where you can light candles. Observe that there are many saints who can intercede for you! At the center of the corridor is the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This is a beautiful parish but I just hope that the Tabernacle is located at the center of the Altar. The Blessed Sacrament is the center of Catholic Faith therefore is must be concretized too.
